Cynthia Martínez is the Senior Director of Brand Marketing at the University of Maryland, where she protects and elevates one of the nation's top research institutions. Since joining the Office of Marketing and Communications in 2016, she has led the strategy, creative development, and execution of university-wide promotional campaigns that position Maryland as a leader in higher education. She also oversees Maryland Day, the university's signature grassroots event that draws 68,000 visitors to campus each year.
Prior to Maryland, Cynthia directed marketing for 12 Telemundo affiliates at ZGS Communications. She previously worked at Cox Media Group and GFR Media, bringing a multicultural media perspective to higher education marketing. She holds a B.A. in Radio and Television from the University of Central Florida and an MBA from the University of Baltimore.
